Changing with the Seasons

This time of year always calls to mind that back to school feeling; fresh starts and crisps mornings – a new year of sorts. New in a number of ways for me personally this year, as we start to pack up our home for a move even further into the countryside.

We’ve also just returned from a holiday in Uist, with some of the best beaches I’ve experienced, fabulous dark skies and a wonderful sense of being connected to nature. And wonderful wool! I picked up a number of cakes – wool that hasn’t been spun but combed, which means it’s softer but more fragile. I’m busy making a throw with this, and have made a cowl from siaban aran featured above, a mix of undyed cheviot and Hebridean wool. Watch out for more cowls and bobble hats coming soon on my Etsy shop. Then it will be Christmas time…..!

Until next time,

Anne-Louise
