Something Crafted in Pastel or Crochet?

Welcome to my very first blog post! I’ve finally stopped procrastinating and quit the day job to focus on my love of crafting.

Something Crafted combines my love for drawing, crochet and the great outdoors, offering pet portrait commissions alongside bespoke and limited edition crocheted items for outdoor and festival living. OK, not the most likely combination of crafts, but I couldn’t choose between them, so decided to do both!

Pastel Pets

I’ve painted and drawn all my life and discovered over the years I’m most at home using pastels. I’ve had a few word-of-mouth commissions in the past alongside working for the charity sector, and now welcome commissions to capture your pets in pastel, a unique bespoke artwork for you to enjoy. Please fill out an enquiry form to get in touch. The portraits are A3 in size either on textured or smooth paper – see Blencowe (textured) and Button (smooth) on my website portfolio for examples of the different finishes. I also draw wild animals – see examples in my Pastel Pets gallery.

Campfire Crochet

Campfire Crochet is a celebration of all things outdoorsy, including festival wear and accessories. The Spring / Summer range includes fairy lights, key ring purses, mobile phone holders and bespoke and one-of-a-kind clothing and bags. The yarn for the core range is 100% recycled or I upcycle and only buy UK based products for packaging, labels and accessories. Also, watch out for one-off luxury yarn items later in the year! If you see something you like but want it in a different colour, do drop me a line. There’s an average three-week lead in time for bespoke pieces, but I can advise you at the time of enquiry. See examples in my Campfire Crochet gallery.

I would love to hear from you. Thanks for stopping by.
